Featuring a fully internal stainless steel frame combined with a high-density polyethylene plastic shell that protects the patient and provides a smooth bottom surface for sliding, this litter’s frame provides a 11.1 kN (2,500-lbf) strength rating. The shell, which attaches to the top rail frame, leaving the second rail for tying in the patient, has generous cutouts for carrying the litter. The large 7/8 in (22 mm) diameter top rail is comfortable on the hands. A closed-cell foam patient pad prevents absorption of fluids, and is resistant to the harshest cleaning agents. For high-angle evacuations, the Advantage has patented StratLoad Attachment Points for clipping in carabiners inside the frame rails.
