This unique patient packaging and extrication system combines a short spine board with the support of a full-body harness. The polyethylene backboard provides rigidity and a smooth sliding surface for confined space extrications. Handles at the side and head provide grip points for handling the patient. The unique self-adjusting cervical restraint eliminates problems associated with lifting a patient vertically while secured to a rigid backboard. The Spec Pak is only intended as a limited spinal immobilization system and must be used with proper spinal immobilization where conditions and protocols indicate. Spec Pak Lifting Bridle System and storage bag are included.

The Spec Pak Lifting Bridle System, now included with Spec Pak, allows for horizontal, semi-sitting and semi-vertical (80-degree) positioning of the patient. This method of lifting is useful when longer suspension times are anticipated, reducing the chances of the patient developing further suspension syndrome. The Lifting Bridle attaches to the newer style chest-mounted D-rings on Spec Pak. The head, crotch and leg straps allow for complete stabilization of the patient without the requirement of a full litter. The bridle easily adjusts with the use of Ancra Cam Buckles (6 kN). Lifting Bridle has a full-strength (22.2 kN) backup strap for attachment to the head D-ring. All carabiners and connectors are included.

      361-S/M

      Special Ops Full Body Harness

The 361 was completely redesigned in late 2014. The original design was not designed by Yates Gear, it was sewn under contract for the Navy as a Helo pilot extraction harness. We always disliked their specific configuration. The redesign follows how we build other full body and seat Yates harnesses. The new design more comfortable, more adjustable and much stronger than the original military contracted JSAVES design. The new design also allowed for the integration of to rappel loops at waist level. This was necessary for Heli rappel operations out of the black hawk helicopters that do not have skids for the operator to stand on. The loops below the waist belt are to attach a gear bag during rappelling, hoisting or short-haul operations.

A full-body harness and tactical load bearing vests are combined offering a unique product for civilian Special Operations and SWAT personnel. This modular harness and tactical vest combination was originally developed by Survival Inc. as the Joint Services Aircrew Vest and Extraction System™ (JSAVES) for US Air Force helicopter pilots and crew. Some additional features and add on modules were added for civilian Special Ops needs. Comes with front attachment points which when connected with a locking carabiner can be used for extraction or rappel applications. (Used with Extraction/Personal Retention Lanyard item # 566). A rear dorsal D ring is provided for helicopter spotter or gunner lanyard attachment. Dorsal D ring is used for SPIE Lanyard attachment (Item # 364). Easily donned by use of quick connect double release action Mil-Spec. COBRA buckles on waist, sternum and leg loops. Leg loops are stowed in concealed pockets on the bottom of the vest until needed. 4 inch padded waist belt. Tactical load bearing vest is designed using the latest military Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment (MOLLE) system to easily attach desired pockets, ammo pouches and weapons. The vest does not come with any pockets or pouches. Molded rubber drag handle included on the rear of vest. Weight 5 lb. 12 oz. with vest. Carabiners shown in photos not included.  COBRA® buckles by AUSTRIALPIN™

      • 361-S/M sizing: Waist: 24-36”, Height 4’9” - 5’10”. Vest on S/M size 361 is about 2.5” shorter than L/XL size 361.

      390FRC-1

      Construction Lineman Harness

In conjunction with transmission line rope access pioneer, Reed Thorne of Ropes That Rescue and other western utilities like Pacific Gas & Electric, Yates has designed the 390FA harness to meet the needs of the transmission tower worker who is now utilizing rope access techniques. The 390FRC Harness is designed and recommended for helicopter external load short haul work. Many new features are seen in the New 390FRC harness. ANSI carabiner to attach chest to seat, diagonal rear support webbing to distribute the load from chest threw shoulder and down to the waist belt over the hips. Constructed from webbing which is a blend of Nomex in the exterior for comfort and durability and Kevlar in the interior for strength. Specially designed for the professional transmission tower worker. Wide anatomical waist pad for increased comfort and added back support. Modular work/tool pouch system allows the user to customize each harness to their own arrangement. Easily adjustable for variations in clothing by use of camlock and cobra buckles. Attachment points at waist, hips, chest, back (lumbar) and back (dorsal). Extra-large side positioning rings (lineman style) allow the user to easily make connections to the safety belt. New U shaped rear shoulder design distributes the load evenly across the neck of the user.  Milled Aluminum  COBRA® buckles by AUSTRIALPIN™ are used to connect waist belt to waist pad and to connect leg buckles for easy donning. COBRA buckles are ANSI Z359.1 -2007 certified. Designed for electric utilities helicopter short-haul program. Weight 7lb. 7oz. Petzl S & L Auxillary Caritool Tool Holders and Yates Tool Holsters sold separately.

Trapezoid screw link and new adjustable sling to attach the Petzl Croll sold separately.(Part#1781CROLL $30).

NEW Differentially cut duel Layer extra wide waist 9" waist pad system for added lumbar support. The outer layer of the waist pad is constructed of stiff high-density foam for support while the inside layer is made from softer foam for comfort. Additional Cumberbun front closure keeps harness secure and gives added support to the lumbar area similar to "weight lifting belts".

SPECIAL NOTICE ON STERNAL ATTACHMENT OF LANYARD FOR FALL ARREST.

      ANSI Z359.11-2014 Sternal Attachment
      3
      .2.2 Sternal.

The sternal attachment may be located as shown in Figure 4, and used as an alternative fall arrest attachment in applications where the dorsal attachment is determined to be inappropriate by a competent person and where there is no chance to fall in a direction other than feet first.
E3.2.2 See Figure 2(a) & 4. The sternal attachment element should be used only when the likely fall distance is not greater than 2 ft.
3.2.2.2 When loaded at the sternal attachment to arrest a fall, the design of the FBH (full body harness) shall direct load through the shoulder straps supporting the user and around the thighs.

NOTICE: 390FRC Harness is only recommended for use in a work environment where Arc-Flash hazard exists. For daily work use in non-energized situations the standard 390RTR harness is recommended. The Nylon webbing which 390RTR the harness is constructed with is much more durable and abrasion-resistant than the Nomex/Kevlar webbing used in the construction of the 390FR Harness.

NEW 390FRC Harness for 2015 now comes in Mesh/Cordura duffle bag. Duffle bag designed to breathe because the top portion is constructed using heavy-duty mesh material.
